show provided via Gold Rush Cam at this Sierra Sun Times link Field Trip Coordinator: Theresa Nutley (facebook) February 2013 Field Trip: Saturday, February 2nd, field trip with Rockhound Field Trip Fanatics to Panoche Hills in south Fresno County for a variety of cool stuff: jasper, agate, jade, serpentine, blue glaucophane (lawsonite) and chocolate magnesite to name a few. Easy collecting location, you do not need to hike or have 4-wheel drive for this trip. Link to Rockhound Field Trip Fanatics. Sunday, March 17th, field trip to Dalton Ranch. Meet us in Raymond at the general store at 9:30 A.M., group departs at 9:45 A.M. (CANCELLED) Saturday, April 20th, field trip San Juan Batista (Hollister) for fossils and multicolored chert. Friday, May 3rd through Monday May 6th, field trip to Walker. We will be going to several collecting sites, still to be determined (weather), but we will definitely be collecting fluorite and copper minerals.
